Since it's less than a month to everyone's favourite Irish holiday, it is time for us to launch not just one, but two new events.
Event 1 (artists)
As always, there will be a collaborative picture where you can submit your characters, gender swapped to be more fitting with the holiday, of course. If you wish to take part PLEASE ensure that the image is on a transparent background as they will be added into one large overall art piece. Full body images are preferred, however, if you want to do something else, then please be aware that we may have to put the image behind other submissions in the overall image.
Now the writers here may feel kind of left out - and rightly so, after all, you can't represent a caption or a story in a collaborative image. This is why we are happy to announce the second event, that is to run alongside the other event.
Event 2 (stories/captions/ect)
In this one, writers, captioners or even people who make comics can all participate by making a St. Patricks day themed piece of work, which we will then put into one journal with the links to each piece in. If you are trying to think of an idea and are struggling I am providing two ideas below but they are not requirements.
1) A TG drink.
2) Someone runs afoul of a Leprechaun.
Both allow a lot of expansion, for example, with the first idea - who gave the drink to your character? Someone with malicious intent? or just a barkeep trying to give your character the best shot at finding love? The world is your metaphoric oyster!
The deadline for these events will be the 20th of March, with the view to have the final collaborative art piece (kindly being made by ) uploaded after, along with the journal of event writing links. Feel free to leave any questions you have on this so we can get back to you all as soon as possible!
Don't forget to wear something green!
